We are beyond devastated but so grateful to get to spend a little time with him before he left us.
To our friends and family who supported us through this difficult time, thank you, it's meant the world to us.
To the staff at Monash Medical Centre, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. You have made our worst day easier to bear. The staff here have gone above and beyond to help us get photos, answers, and spend the time we need with our little boy. They have one of the hardest jobs, but they are phenomenal at it.
And above all, thanks to my husband, Chad, was such a pillar of strength for me in such a dark time. If you ever want to know what a real man is like, look to my husband. He cared for me and stayed by my side my whole labour. He watched over our little Teddy when they sent me to surgery. He fed me, and washed me, and dressed me, and held me while I cried. And I will forever be grateful for him.
If you would like to do anything to honour Teddy's memory please consider donating to Emerikus Land Foundation who purchase cold cots for hospitals to allow grieving families extra time to say goodbye. Their services have really helped us to get through this.
