Jezzie the Wonder Pony

Jezzie was one of my first case studies fresh out of trimming college. Turns out he hadn't been trimmed in years, was scared of adults especially men and people wearing hats, farriers were particularly frightening, and he was also obese and laminitic leading to a massive hoof abscess that caused a significant hoof avulsion (detachment of the hoof wall).

However, turns out this little pony LOVED children. With a very dedicated owner he had regular training and trims along with a good diet and exercise. He ended up going on to be a fabulous school horse for several years and then was sold to a young girl.
