Severe Quarter Crack

Using nail on shoes on this horse had proven difficult for several farriers including myself. Having to leave enough wall for decent nail placement often left the foot running forward too much, and nailing too close to the crack often left the wall breaking out.

After trialing lots of different hoof care practitioners and shoe types, barefoot, tips, metals, plastics etc, the Glushu ended up being an amazing solution for this horse!

These were applied with a wedge pad and impression material to help provide additional caudal support and elevation. The glue cuffs helped stabilise the crack and meant we no longer had to worry about nail placement. Antibacterial treatment was placed in to the crack prior to gluing over ("Bug Buster" - available in our online store).
