Utrecht University

Today had an amazing time going behind the scenes in the Equine department at Utrecht University in The Netherlands.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to take any photos of the hooves we were working on, but I did get to watch some of the farrier students working in the forge and shoeing horses. We also looked at some therapeutic applications of composite shoes. I ran in to a well-known professor doing locomotion research in the trot-up area. And got a tour of all the amazing equipment and facilities!

While I was there I also quickly popped in to their Farriery Museum which had lots of gems in it!
